Watch Out – Earth May Be COOLING Now!

The evidence is found around the world. Global temperatures dropped precipitously during the past year, according to all four global tracking outlets: Hadley, NASA's GISS, UAH, and RSS. Why is this not big news? Perhaps because for the dominant liberal media it is an inconvenient truth.

Meteorologist Anthony Watts compiled the results of the four global tracking outlets. He found the total amount of cooling during the past year ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C. This is the fastest temperature change, up or down, ever recorded. IT IS LARGE ENOUGH TO ERASE NEARLY ALL THE GLOBAL WARMING RECORDED OVER THE PAST 100 YEARS.

Record cold temperatures were observed in Russia, Greenland, Canada, South Africa, Australia, Greece, and many other places. The northern hemisphere had the greatest snow cover since 1966.

"Ice returns as Greenland temps plunge," reported The Copenhagen Post on January 16, 2008. "On Disko Bay in western Greenland, where a number of prominent world leaders have visited in recent years to get a first-hand impression of climate change, temperatures have dropped so drastically that the water has frozen over for the first time in a decade."

AHN reported on January 16, 2008, "Russians are bracing for temperatures of as low as minus 55 degrees Celsius (minus 67 degrees Fahrenheit) in Siberia as Russia's emergencies ministry warns on Wednesday of its impending dangers in the coming weeks."

Bloomberg reported that worst hit was the Siberian region of Evenkiya, while neighbor Georgia, whose climate is subtropical, saw temperatures plunge to as low as minus 35 degrees Celsius. Lake Paliastomi in the western Georgia froze for the first time in 50 years, reported Rustavi-2 television.

What the Chinese media called "the Winter Snow Disaster" created low temperatures that broke100-year-old records and caused record snowfalls. Six months of snow and record low temperatures killed 500,000 animals in Tibet, which left three million people trying to avoid starvation.

The harsh winter killed 300,000 cattle in Afghanistan and killed more than 1,500 people.

What was called "the winter from hell" broke records in northern states and Canada that were as much as 134 years old. North America had the most snow cover in 50 years. Wisconsin had the most snow ever recorded. There were blizzards as far south as Texas. Fruit crops in the U.S. suffered huge losses.

Record cold temperatures were observed in Argentina and Chile. Snow fell in Buenos Aires for the first time since 1918. The extraordinary cold weather in Chile killed so many people, livestock, and crops the government declared an emergency.

And the "human-caused global warming" alarmists are still spouting their nonsense.

An array of leading climatologists and other experts gathered in New York recently for an international conference that questioned the "consensus" on global warming. After three days of reports and discussion, the 500 delegates issued the Manhattan Declaration. It states attempts by governments to reduce CO2 emissions would "markedly diminish further prosperity" and would have "no appreciable impact" on the Earth's warming.

Many scientists have been warning us that reduced sunspot activity indicates we should be concerned about global cooling, not global warming. They have suggested the cooling would begin in the near future. Perhaps the cooling is beginning sooner than they thought.

Global cooling will be far more dangerous than global warming. It will be especially bad if it occurs while nations are focused on global warming.

The founder of The Weather Channel advocates suing Al Gore to expose "the fraud of global warming." He wants to put Al Gore and other global warming alarmists under oath to expose their hoax. There is a big difference between the claims of the global warming alarmists and the truth.
